Physical problems like compaction layers and bad drainage, are normally fixed by physical interventions. If caught early however, the problem can be ameliorated by chemical and biological means.

 

Soil improvement is done by nutrient balancing, the addition of Carbon sources, addition of microbes, the introduction of Oxygen, and the wise use of rotation-, cover- and inter cropping.
