In some cases vigorous growth does not mean increased yield, as some plants will tend to fruit less when conditions for growing is favourable.
In order to maximize yield the agronomist needs to understand how to influence a vigorous growing plant to start fruiting, in order to get a plant with a large frame to fruit well.
